Cort Nicaraguan President Ortega skipped Summit of Americas to celebrate Cuban solidarity in Managua on April 14 President Daniel Ortega joined Ecuadors President Rafael Correa in a last minute decision and he decided to skip this weekends Summit of the Americas in Colombia and the government put on a demonstration to celebrate solidarity with Cuba, that President Ortega presided over on Saturday in Managua. The decision to skip the Summit of Americas came shortly after Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez announced he would not be attending because of health considerations. Honduran President Porfirio Lobo announced the decision at press conference in Colombia on Saturday about the absent of the President of Nicaragua.
