PRESS CONFERENCE AND COMMUNITY RALLY

WHO: Victims Of Police Brutality By The Pasadena Police Department.

WHAT: RALLY DEMANDING CHIEF OF POLICE PHILIP L. SANCHEZ, ORDER A FULL
INVESTIGATION OF THE unwarranted ASSUALT AND BATTERY ON PEACEFUL PROTESTERS
ON NOVEMEBER 14, 2012, by officers of the Pasadena Police Department

WHEN: Friday, November 16, 2012

TIME: 12:00 PM

WHERE: Pasadena Police Department.

WHY: On November 14, 2012, people peacefully assembled to Protest the Ex
President who was head of state and responsible for the oppression of the
people of Chiapas, Mexico. Outreach with flyers and literature educating on
the Zapatista’s struggle for indigenous liberation and political autonomy,
also a documentary of the Zapatistas struggle was to be shown.

Upon arrival at he Pasadena Convention Center, security guards employed by
the Convention Center informed the protesters, they weren’t allow on the
sidewalk and that they had to protest across the street on the sidewalk.
Security guards than called Pasadena police, we were then told by Pasadena
police go across the street onto the sidewalk. The protesters then
proceeded to follow the officers’ orders and moved to the sidewalk. Upon
returning to the sidewalk as ordered by Pasadena police the protesters were
than attacked. Numerous innocent people were viciously assaulted by
Pasadena police officers, including a woman who is pregnant, and a few
children. Several of the protesters were also unjustly arrested and
charged with allegedly inciting a riot. The police department has no proof
to substantiate these claims and has already began a rumor mongering
campaign stating that 100 people rushed them when only 20people were
present at the incident.
