Screening of Oliver's Film "SOUTH OF THE BORDER" Thursday, April 11th, 6:30 to 9:30 PM At Immanuel Presbyterian Church 3300 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles 90010 With Oliver Stone, Professor Miguel Tinker Salas Suzie Gilbert & Ricardo Moreno ON THE ELEVENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE U.S.-BACKED COUP, join The Simon Bolivar Association of Los Angeles and special guest, OLIVER STONE for a special screening of "SOUTH OF THE BORDER." As Venezuela's presidential election draws near, those in solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution are preparing for a National Day of Action this April 11 to call for: NO U.S. INTERVENTION IN VENEZUELA'S ELECTION! As part of this important day, Ricardo Moreno and the Simon Bolivar Association will host a special screening of Oliver Stone's groundbreaking documentary, "South of the Border." Featuring informative interviews with seven elected South American presidents, including Hugo Chávez, the film also illustrates the various social and political movements in the region as well as the battle being waged by the people of Latin America to take back the resources of their own lands from the hands of North American imperialism. A panel discussion will follow where we will discuss the film as well as the situation in the region today. Panelists will include Oliver Stone, co-producer Suzie Gilbert & Professor Miguel Tinker Salas. It will be moderated by Ricardo Moreno of the Association. 6:30 pm.
