I am Bradley Manning!

the public deserves the truth. Drop the "Aiding the Enemy" Charge.

1109 days of unfair confinement is enough.

Dear Friends & Allies,

This coming Monday, June 3rd, we will launch the biggest online campaign to
date for whistleblower & Nobel Peace Prize nominee Bradley Manning:
www.bradleymanning.org

And We Need Your Help - www.iam.bradleymanning.org - As you may know, on
Monday, June 3rd Bradley will finally go to trial after three years in
confinement.

Though Bradley himself is facing life in prison, the charges against him are
so extreme that if the prosecution is successful, it could open future
whistleblowers to the death penalty.

For the last month we have been working both around and against the
clock-and without a budget-to create an impactful Public Service
Announcement - PSA. We have filmed people in studios in cities across the
US. We've recruited from a wide spread of issues and audiences and have
been inspired by those who have stepped up.

We will be launching our three minute video, titled: "I AM BRADLEY MANNING"
- www.iam.bradleymanning.org - on Monday morning as the court martial
proceedings begin.

The goal is to snowball public comment about the controversial "aiding the
enemy" charge (see below) through the press cycle surrounding this momentous
trial, both by reaching people directly over social media and inspiring
conversation and coverage in the press.

As an independent team of volunteer producers and activists working on many
issues, we are asking for your help by pushing the video out to your allies
and supporters over social media channels.

We've tried to make it as easy as possible for you, and as attractive as
possible to your followers and supporters.

The video includes among others:

Oliver Stone | Daniel Ellsberg | Alice Walker | Phil Donahue | Maggie
Gyllenhaal | Moby | Michael Ratner | Matt Taibbi | Angela Davis | Lt. Dan
Choi | Russell Brand | Chris Hedges |

Tom Morello | Mairead Maguire | Tim DeChristopher | Wallace Shawn | Allan
Nairn | Ahdaf Soueif | and more...

If you hesitate, please remember that this is the young army private who
brought us with him into the killing fields of Iraq so we could see the
human cost of our own wars. Later, in an effort to inspire "worldwide
discussions, debates, and reforms" by releasing the Cablegate documents, he
helped fuel the popular movements that have inspired the world since 2011.

The clarity of purpose and ethical fiber revealed in the recent audio leaks
of Bradley's own pretrial testimony have also surprised and inspired us.

Obama's war on whistleblowers has been so severe that he has already brought
more cases under the Espionage Act than all previous administrations
combined. The charge that Bradley faces on Monday could set the worst
precedent possible for future whistleblowers. According to legal experts
who both support and dismiss Bradley's actions, if the prosecution is
successful all future whistleblowers on "national security" issues could
face the death penalty.

The government has so far produced no evidence of harm to individuals from
by the leaks, but simply by proving that Bradley knew the enemy might gain
access to them, they claim that he was in both intent and purpose trying to
aid them. Sitting in the courtroom during a pretrial hearing last year, I
watched the military judge ask the government if the charge would be the
same had he brought the files to the Washington Post instead of Wikileaks.
The answer: "Yes, your Honor."

A year prior, when I asked President Obama about Bradley during a fundraiser
in San Francisco, his reply to me was simply that "this is a nation of
laws.and he broke the law." He had already decided Bradley was guilty. The
implications of this trial have been kept mostly out of the public by a high
level of courtroom secrecy and a startling lack of coverage from mainstream
outlets.

I'm probably as "outrage-fatigued" as anyone, but I have chosen to come back
to this critical case again and again, because I believe that Bradley is the
single most important actor of our generation. That this case has taken on
greater implications since his arrest is no surprise.

Regardless of the outcome, this trial will leave a mark on our times. This
may be the last, best chance to have an impact.

Thank you for joining us.

In Solidarity,

Logan Price
