On ever other ASF project I've been involved in we just deal with it
when it happens. Since many people subscribe via different addresses
Surely the commit e-mails are always sent from the apache.org login,
regardless of what other e-mail addresses people use to subscribe to
other lists?
it's difficult to require them to subscribe with an @apache.org one,
and since ezmlm is not very hackable it's not simple to fix the
problem other ways...
I presume ezmlm is not clever enough to process all outstanding
e-mails once the first message has been moderated ...
By the way, list moderators can subscribe and unsubscribe users:
You can start a subscription for an alternate address,
for example "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", just add a hyphen and your
address (with '=' instead of '@') after the command word:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
<<
The above message can be sent by anyone, and the confirmation will go
to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
However, for unsubscribe (and probably subscribe): if sent by a
moderator, the confirmation message is either not needed or is sent to
the moderate (sorry, cannot remember which) so the moderator is able
to perform that action without end-user involvement.
