Hello,

I'd like to suggest creation of a lab for a java commons-monitoring
component. The idea is to provide :
- a simple and lightweight instrumentation API for java application
- some helper components (servlet filters, AspectJ aspect, AOP
interceptor...) to quickly instrument an application
- an extensible backbone for monitored datas, with plugability for custom
reporting requirements

I've allready created the www.jmonit.org project with this intention, but
could get more feedback from the wide apache developers community.

Maybe such component should live in the commons.apache.org sandbox, in such
case please let me know.
