No problem, since Droids actually entered fairly late into GSoC itself. > but I had a question for you regarding the Droids project for the Google > Summer of Code, specifically to integrate the Apache HttpClient with Droids. > > I don't have much (or any) in the way of direct experience with the Droids > project or Apache's HttpClient, but I do have a great deal of experience and > knowledge C/C++ programming, concurrency, and working with the HTTP protocol. > I am a Computer Science major at Georgia Tech, graduating in August. Do you know to program (and understand code) in Java? How much experience do you have with Spring? You would need to have some experience in working on Java projects since Droids and the httpclient is based 100% in java. Meaning if you never have worked with Java in your life it may be too difficult. > > My question, then, is how much of a chance do I have, were I to submit an > application for this project, to obtain it? First it depends on your level of java and second I cannot tell you for sure whether your application will get accepted. I added the labs mailing list and Ross Gardler to the response so that other have a chance to comment on this issue. > > Thank you for your consideration! > > Regards, > Shannon Quinn Thanks very much for your interest Shannon and do not hesitate to ask more questions. salu2 -- Thorsten Scherler thorsten.at.apache.org Open Source Java consulting, training and solutions --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
