Hmm, good point. I'm not looking at modifying or extending any of SWI-Prolog or it's libraries, and the GPL exception they have should prevent the virality from affecting my code that simply uses the libraries. But it seems that at least some of the libraries are "pure GPL", i.e. not amended with the exception, so I need to be a bit careful. I'll get the GPL exception reviewed by legal-discuss@ before I start pushing my prolog code to svn.
