Hi all, this mail is to inform about recent news about the Amber Lab. After meeting Pid and David Recordon at the Apache Retreat and speaking with them about OAuth v2, I mailed Simone Tripodi to connect him with Pid. Also, Pid mailed the IETF OAuth mailing list about interest in a Java API/implementation, and we received interest from other people, among which Saleem Shafi (from PayPal) and Paul Lindner (from LinkedIn, who is also VP of Apache Shindig).
So, given the current momentum, we are thinking about moving to the incubator, merging there the current Amber lab, eventually some code from Apache Shindig and code contribution from Pid to create a OAuth v1 code base that will evolve to a OAuth v2 implementation. If anyone originally interested in the Amber Lab wants to participate, we're drafting an incubator proposal ( http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/AmberProposal ). Simone
