Personally, I think the best place is /labs/$ProjectDir/, but I'm fine with $ProjectDir/trunk/doap.rdf, too, because this is pure convenience in the most common checkout scenario. We should discourage $projectName_doap.rdf, though.
Tim, would the script generating the status report be capable of handling this?
