Whitman has acknowledged that an upcoming state of the environment report will leave out a section on global warming due to differences between EPA and White House officials over "the science and conclusions on climate change."
According to yesterday's NY TImes, the White House "simply" "edited" the report (result of a decade of research), removing all material (like on global warming) which might be too alarming to the public...
I don't think anyone *makes* gas masks for ostriches :)
