Hi everyone Heather asked about festivals happening - there's a Lavender Festival in Langford next weekend. It doesn't sound highly original, except that this community is pulling itself out of a rut. It is a district outside the city (of Victoria) located more or less in a gravel pit, and was usually spoken of with a snort. Well that little place has rebuilt sidewalks, boulevards, improved parking for shopping, put in municipal gardens - and grown lavender in all that gravel.
