Dear Friends,
I made an old 1970s recipe again tonight, and although it sounds Kitsch, it really is lovely. Here it is for your enjoyment - can't go wrong :) :)

PORCUPINE MEATBALLS
Do NOT cook the rice before hand.
Put about 500gm prime mince beef, 1 egg, grated carrot, 2 tablespoons tomato soup, 1 chopped onion in the food processor to blend them together. [Actually I prefer to just mix well with a fork].
Then stir in a handful of raw rice.
Shape them into small balls about 1" [2/5 cm] diameter and cook in electric fry pan with the rest of the tin of soup. Don't turn or touch the meatballs. Just put the lid on and leave for about 30 - 40 minutes
