Hi Jenny - I have seen copies of this film on eBay continuously over the years, so if you really want it, just be patient and you'll find a version you can use.
However, as I recall from plot overviews I read long ago, this is a story of a hairdresser who is wooed by a rich young man. Can't remember whether it has a happy ending or not - haven't seen the film. But from all I could tell by the description, there didn't seem to be a lacemaker in the story!! (Unless there is some allegorical thing going on that wasn't evident in the blurb...)
