Now it seems that there is something on ebay which combines lacemaking, missionary work, and a monkey! I think it's too bizarre not to pass on to the list!! ; )

I don't know about the monkey, etc, but the pillow stand in the picture of the lacemaker is rather interesting -- what can be seen of it. It looks like a foot rest is incorporated into the stand, and the bolster can be used either horizontal or vertical.
