how did you find plastic bobbins? i would have loved to have at least tried them. probably better not to have, but now after i bought the wood ones at least if i can get to a class i'll have enough nice looking continentals to cover the pillow. i would have hated to go with a hundred little hand rolled paper ones. i'm sure they definitley wouldn't mind, but it would have made me feel bad all the way through looking at all those expensive bobbins on every one elses pillows. it really takes a long time to buy (without going into debt all at once) proper lace equipment.
what size bead do you think would be best? please size by milimeter or what ever that measurement is. i apologize that i am still into inches and feet for measuing. i probably will bypass the middle one being heaviest and string them all up with tree different types of beads evenly spaced between each other by the other two styles. i just don't know what size the largest should be. i want to go one big, one smallest size, one two sizes bigger than smallest size, one smallest size, and then one big. i'm really planning to visit one of the menonite villages near here this fall and i'm sure they give classes. i can bobbin lace wrong all day and even for a life time and never know it until i get in a class with others while being instructed to do it right. i really think that it is best. i don't want to go without the proper equipment. by the way what size pins do you use for size 50 thread? i used 17 and i think that is why i'm having a problem with my plastic coated pricking. i used paper before, and i liked it a lot better. i could put pins in it any where i needed to. i can't now. i'm really doing terrible now. i'm sure i need a size 14 or something like that. from susan in tennessee,u.s.a. ____________________________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
