Cash’s are the only company left from the silk ribbon weaving industry
in Coventry.  Their website includes a brief history of the company:

Coventry was a major producer of silk ribbons.  If any of you visited
the downstairs display in the Herbert museum when The Lace Guild had
their display in Coventry, you would have had the chance to see examples
of old ribbons, which are beautiful.  Nothing like them is made today.
