Hi All
Just thought, childrens clothes are exempt from VAT, however boys
clothing over the age of around 11 and girls of about 12 are classed
as adult clothing and you pay VAT... shoes... most children grow out
of 'child' sizes by the time they are 7-9 and then guess what... yep,
you pay tax!!!
Whilst I have every sympathy with pensioners as their income is fixed,
they do not usually have a mortgage to pay, they do not usually have
to support their children through full time education (note the
usually there, there are some whose children seem to enjoy being at
Uni!!!) Pensioners get free travel, free prescriptions, winter fuel
payments etc...
Low income workers? They're lucky if the government ever get round to
paying them anything!
Soapbox away again
