Hi All
I've just had to write in and tell you all about my day today!! It's
been FANTASTIC!!! As a School Crossing Patrol (Lollipop Lady) I was
given the opportunity of working with 7 marvellous kids in school.
The kids are all Junior Road Safety Officers! Their objective is to
raise Road Safety awareness in the younger kids in the school. This
includes using scooters, walking, cycling to school etc. We all met
for the first time last week (exactly one week ago today) and today
they did their first Assembly!!! I took in a teddy bear called Jofli
(stands for Journey of Life) and they not only introduced themselves
to everyone they introduced me (as if I wasn't known by the
others..... LOL) and Jofli!!! They are about to set their first
competition going - design a logo for the JRSO's, then we're going to
see if we can have it put onto some tabards for the kids who don't
travel by car!
AND I'm about to set up the whole thing again for a group in South
Cave (only 4 miles away!!!) Think I'll have to record the experience
through Jofli's eyes.... it could be interesting reading for the
younger ones!
Lots of work but well worth it.... just got to design a tabard for the
teddy now..... so that's me busy for the next few days!
