Hi there, I always knew it as :
Fifteen Sixteen - maids in the kitchen ... Nineteen Twenty - my plates empty. There is a wikipedia entry for the rhyme - it says that is was just a counting rhyme - if there is a known lace connection perhaps someone should update the entry - over to you Bev. Couldn't find any lacing references in my cursory search but sounds quite plausible. B regs Andrea in a summery Cambridge, UK - but off to Prague at crack of dawn tomorrow. Bev wrote - Isn't that it, though? The whole little rhyme has BL references:... Thirteen fourteen maids a courting (more with bobbin pairs...)Fifteen sixteen (I forget)Seventeen eighteen maids a-waiting ....Nineteen twenty that's a-plenty ....(end of repeat?) _________________________________________________________________ 100s of Music vouchers to be won with MSN Music To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
