Hello Agnes (and Sue, who also asked, and do I get the impression that Sue
and Agnes are not one without the other ?!)

For a time we did have Arachne 'merchandise' spearheaded by one of the
subscribers, JoAnne in the US, who might not be subscribed any more.

We would also have a yearly Arachne commemorative bobbin, from a different
bobbin supplier each year who would volunteer to do a design and sell them
(yes they would - of course - profit). We had a rather elaborate
buy-and-sell system, with JoAnn coordinating it, and long posts of the
cost per bobbin, and anything else offered that year, in as many
countries' currency per lace makers from those countries, that
participated on the lace list.
(oi sorry, long sentence)
I'm not sure, were the pins started as of the one and only Arachne
conference in 1998? They were early on, in the Arachne history, anyway.

A while back, JoAnn indicated she no longer wanted to organize the commem.
bobbin routine. As yet no-one else has stepped in to do so, if there is
even sufficient interest.

Getting such things as lapel pins, bags, and cover cloths, decals and the
like takes money and time, but the job, as such, is up for grabs...

Thinking out loud, I rather like the idea of a 13th anniversary bobbin
painted with a hollyhock, and spangled with 'citrine' beads.
