Hi Sue and all,
Did you refer to my son, by any chance?
He did 6 years at uni for one degree.
Started with Psysics and Maths, partied the first year away, then
switched to Mechanical Engineering.
Did two years and did not want to do year three " as it would kill me",
were his words (he does not like hard labour).
By then he had already enrolled himself on Computer Science and at least
finished that one.
Finally finished uni last June, and worked PT in a pub, then started his
first proper job in Feb this year.
By the way, he was in adult sized clothes by the time he was 8 and is
6ft plus.
In the meantime, my daughter decided to go back to uni to do a Phd, so
now we are supporting her again.
That's ten years on the trot so far we have been supporting one or both,
not funny!

Hi All
Just thought, childrens clothes are exempt from VAT, however boys
clothing over the age of around 11 and girls of about 12 are classed
as adult clothing and you pay VAT... shoes... most children grow out
of 'child' sizes by the time they are 7-9 and then guess what... yep,
you pay tax!!!
Whilst I have every sympathy with pensioners as their income is
fixed, they do not usually have a mortgage to pay, they do not
usually have to support their children through full time education
(note the usually there, there are some whose children seem to enjoy
being at Uni!!!) Pensioners get free travel, free prescriptions,
winter fuel payments etc...
Low income workers? They're lucky if the government ever get round
to paying them anything!
Soapbox away again
Sue
