Growing old
An old couple invited their neighbours for a meal.
Each time when the old man asked his wife something, he started with
"honey", "darling", "my little pigeon", etc.
The neighbours were impressed, because the couple had been married for
almost 60 years.
When the wife had gone to the kitchen, the neighbour said to the old man:
"I think it is splendid how after all those years of married life, you
still use terms of endearment to address your wife".
The old man let his head drop.
"Shht", he said, "I have not been able to remember her name for at least
ten years!!!"
