Dear Friends,
Late in 1971 I bought a small mirror in a second
hand shop in North Finchley. The frame seems to
have once been burgundy coloured velvet but
virtually all the knapp has worn off. How this
could have happened I have no idea as in the 44
years I've owned it it still looks the same as
when I bought it. The reverse side is covered by very thin leather.
I would be fascinated to learn anything about its
age or history and can send a picture in case
someone can help. Incidentally I paid £1 for it back then.
