You're right. At least that's my experience. I had to send in some biographical details and a desk editor at the publishing house wrote the blurb on the dust jacket. That's why I was surprised when the original comment came from Jean in Poole, whom IIRC has written quite a few books. Jean, does your publisher have you write the dust jacket blurbs?
