They do 2 inch and 3 inch green plastic, and a brass coloured metal 2 inch, both with retractable metal pins. Both come with instructions, the green one having more complicated instructions for the "picot joining of daisies". One set of instructions says that you can make: shawls, afghans, baby sets, sweaters, vests, skirt, hand and shoulder bags, rugs, jewelry, big needle fashions - "Leaflets available at your favorite art needlework department". If you'd like a copy of the instructions - the essentials cover an A4 sheet, the one with the more complicated pict joining instructions one and a half A4 sheets - let me know, and I'll scan them and send you a copy - be a bit of a large attachment.
