When I asked for a recipe several kind people responded, here is one of the ones I received:
In a jar combine.... 1 cup boiling water
1/2 teas. dish detergent
1/2 teas. vinegar
Shake & add pins. let soak for awhile
Rinse with clear water & spread on paper towel to dry.
