As a rank beginner, my participation IS as a lurker, but don't think I'm not actively participating. Right now, I need to learn and I do value the information I get on the list from those of you with more experience. I check out every website to broaden my exposure, get suggestions for books, suppliers and techniques, and have even gotten hooked up with some lace groups (each 3 hours away in different directions). I have joined IOLI so that I could see all of your lovely work. But the truth is, as a working single mom, the net is my most available source of community, learning and encouragement. But I do think that I make my best contribution now with my eyes and ears open and mouth shut.
