Hello Lacemakers..... About one month ago I put a request to you all to help me find a copy of the book 'Russian Lace Patterns' (Anna Korableva & Bridget M. Cook) and I received several helpful suggestions. I did respond to each writer privately but I wanted to let you all know that I followed up on one (actually, a few) of the ideas - to search the site http://www.abebooks.com/ and found several copies at various book stores listed with them.
I ordered a copy and the book arrived today .... approximately four weeks since placing the order. I did have to pay the customs and excise duty of 6 CAD but no complaints. I was so excited to receive it and the book is in excellent shape. The 'rocking horse pattern' was the one that hooked me in <g> but every pattern in the book appeals to me. I counted over sixty patterns in the book and although the pictures are in black and white, the cover photos show how much fun any of them will be to work with colours. I was apprehensive about ordering on line as this was my first time. But it was a snap and I just wanted to let others know, at least from my limited experience, this is a great site for out of print book searches. Now to get this 'Christmas thing' out of the way, and on with lacing ;o) Nova (on a soggy wet Vancouver Island night) - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
