It was not until I read the messages about seeing threads clearly, plus methods of being able to do this. I remembered a present my DH gave me I believe a couple of years ago. It is called
Intel Play Microscope 200 X. Yes you can use it for biology, but you can also take the microscope off the stand and use it for looking at lace and see the lace on your computer. I was over the moon once I got used to using it. I have not a clue as to the cost as it was a Christmas present from my DH he says it was well under 100 pounds.
