So many people have answered my query about beginner books that I wanted to try and say a great big group thank you to you all. I read all the advice and mulled it over and ended up ordering 3 different books on the theory that a) one will work for me the best and they all will be good references and b) if I don't take to the hobby I can pass them on to someone else who wants to try.
