Hello everyone! My parents just came back from a trip to Slovenia (to see the
homeland of my father's grandparents) and they sent me a couple books they
picked up after I told them of my new hobby interest. They got to visit the
Idrija Lacemaking School, lucky dogs! ;-)

So the books are

1) "Conserving and Progress of hand-made bobbin lace in Slovak and European
region" published privately for the school and includes 21 patterns of
traditional Slovenian lace including a baby bootie. There is no author listed
and the text is in Slovenian and English side-by-side.

2) "Idrija Lace, Patterns from the Idrija School of Lace in Slovenia" by
Bridget M. Cook and Metka Tratnik. It too is full of patterns from 5 pair to
many, many pair.

Is anyone here familiar with either of these book? I am so happy to have them
but I am frustrated not to have my equipment yet <stupid new car> and not able
to start. Ah well I can be patient and keep knitting <grin>.

Thanks for listening to me brag shamelessly!
