Hi everyone There is a big big difference in the particular foams - for all you want to know about ethafoam, go here: http://www.dow.com/perffoam/market/products/ about styrofoam, go here: http://www.dow.com/craft/about/cup.htm note the connection with polystyrene but that Styrofoam is a registered TM of Dow Chemical (as is Ethafoam) and for more than you want to know about polystyrene, go here: http://www.polystyrene.org/polystyrene_facts/facts.html
I consider myself re-educated - that what we call a Styrofoam coffee cup, isn't Styrofoam ~ Lace content: the blue builders' board/insulation that we can buy at Home Depot (in North Amercia) is a cheap, reasonably ok pillow surface. It can be sawn with an old kitchen knife/ bread knife, and sanded with itself (you can do this with styrofoam too - sand a rough edge with a small piece of the same stuff). The little bits will cling to anything, adding to experience ~ This sort of board for a pillow is greatly enhanced with layers of quilt batting, wool fabric (old army blanket is *superb*) then the cotton fabric work surface. -- bye for now Bev in Sooke, BC (west coast of Canada) - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
