I find more trouble with patterns lifting on a totally-flat pillow than on a mildly-domed one, so I'd say both extremes (high dome or completely flat) can be a problem. Usually, angling the edge pins outward solves the problem for me. Sometimes I have to push the edge pins all the way down to keep the lace against the pillow. Robin P.
