Happy New Year to all you fellow spiders
I'm a bit late joining in this thread as I've had several disasters of my
own over the last few months and I'm way behind with e-mails.
I got an antique lavender bag, bought by a friend at an antique fair in York
because she thought it was "crochet or tatting or something but you will
know what it is" It's a linen bag with torchon lace edging and insert, quite
simple pattern of plaits and leaves and the leaves are beautifully even, how
I wish I could work leaves so nice. The friend included some dried lavender
from her garden in case I wanted to refill the bag as the original stuff
smells a bit musty, but that's part of it's charm. At the moment the bag is
packed with my current lace project (one of Tamara's snowflakes) waiting to
go to the first lace class of 2005 next Friday to show off, but I need
advice on how to keep it safe for future lace-makers to enjoy, please.
