Oh dear, I am sorry to have stirred up such a can o' worms. I have just got back from from a wonderful weekend at The Lace Guild convention to find over 150 posts, largely about the IOLI name. But please may I point out that I didn't object, I just wondered *why* we were being described as "old" lacers. I now accept the fact that the founders were referring to the lace not themselves but as that is not the way the phrase is structured, I had read it as them declaring themselves as old - which very few people ever want to do. It's only people older than yourself who are old.
