I like the Lace Lovers idea. Sort of based on the conversion of the sexist Fireman to the gender neutral Fire Fighter. Those who make, study or collect lace are all fans of lace, but I think that we should avoid making ourselves the Association of Lace Fans. Lace Allied Zealots resulting in the phonetically correct LAZ, perhaps? Incidentally, I am being besieged by requests to join the Lacemaking Grannies of the Milky Way Galaxy, which just goes to show that with an inviting name you don't need to have a group at all to make people want to join.
