Hi all, I've been getting a lot of response from many of you. Most every one is pointing me to these yarns that knit strips and the fairisles patterns. These I know about and are not what I'm looking for. I don't care for the strips at this time. In the pictures of the finished socks they look bulky. I'm wanting the thinner yarns that make a more complicated pattern of, say diamonds with different colored lines crossing over the diamonds, like in argylls. Something a little more dressy with the socks being a solid color with a fancy design on each side of the sock.
