The 's Gravenmoerse lace is not Torchon. People get
that impression because it is on a 45 degree grid,
like Torchon, but it really is a Point Ground lace
with very distinctive features.

It was used for the lace on caps by the ladies who
didn't have Beveren lace, for either regional or money
reasons. There's at least three main books out, two
of which should be available. One was just reprinted.
There's also some specialty books -- like bookmarks
and jewelry.

Must go to lace meeting so can't go into any details.
It's a fun lace to make. I have a project in process
right now.

Happy lacing,
Alice in Oregon -- with a clear day for lace meeting
