Good heavens, I had no idea that Jeri and I were practically on the same wavelength in that we were simultaneously writing about the Tudor Tailor. My first contact with the book was when I was ordering something from Amazon and Amazon, in its almost supernatural way, told me I would want to order this book. However, it was two weeks ago that I broke down and bought it while at the Museum since we had been investigating this supportasse of ours and a few other pieces and I thought it would be illuminating. I particularly like the picture where they show someone setting a freshly starched ruff using a red-hot poking stick. It would appear Jeri reads these books, while I tend to look at the pictures. I think I need a prolonged trip to a desert island to catch up on my reading. Devon
