MC means Mercerised cotton (as you say the medium size) FMC is fine
mercerised cotton and TMC is thick mercerised cotton - they appear not
to do the very fine size any more. 32 is the colour, pastel
pink/yellow/green/apricot.

Last time I went looking for manufacturer's websites I couldn't find

I bought some Steff Francis Mercerised cotton that looked
about "special dentelles" thickness. The only marking on the label was
"Steff
Francis Mercerised Cotton MC 32"
When I got home I looked in Brenda's book
and having untwisted the end of the thread there are three threads spun
together, so I think it must be "medium". Can anyone advise if the
MC32 means
anything to do with thickness (and if so, what). (I did wonder if it
might
refer to the colour)
