I am writing this message with a very heavy heart. Until yesterday morning,
I was following the messages about theft of pieces from fairs,
demonstrations etc and have picked up lots of ideas on how to secure the
pieces twice as well as I did before. Thanks all who offered information.

Meanwhile, yesterday afternoon, while I was at my lace teacher's house
printing a pattern for a miniature bedspread which I promised to work for
someone, she received a call from the headmaster of the Gozo Arts School to
whom she had entrusted a beautiful shawl for him to show on a stand at a
fair - I believe in Peniche - but will confirm. He had phoned to say that
the shawl had been stolen!

Immediately I asked if she had photos of the shawl so that I could circulate
among you in the hope that if anyone had to catch sight of it in another
fair, being worn, or possibly someone trying to sell it - perhaps on eBay -
you would inform us as soon as possible. Photos are attached. Edith will
recognise the shawl immediately as it has a flaw which makes it definitely
hers.

Thanks,
Karen in Malta.
