I was going to write a report on lace at Sweet Briar first thing this morning, but Betty Ann has beaten me to it, with a very full description.

Other highlights for me, included being in a class with Betty Ann and enjoying her sense of humour - along with those of our class mates. I suspect we might have laughed more than the other classes! Everyone was so welcoming, and there was always someone to join at meal times.

We were in Bobbi Donnelly's great Tønder class. Bobbi had produced a wonderful, structured folder of patterns for each of us, so that we could progress through the various techniques used in Tønder. I have come back with a lovely collection of patterns to work, which will keep me busy for a very long time!

I enjoyed the week so much. It was lovely not to need to get into a car for the whole week. There were walking paths, a swimming pool and gym, and even live theatre on site. I suspect that if one was a horse rider that that would also be a possibility!

Thursday afternoon's treat was incredible - chocolate-coated Key Lime pie on a stick. Delicious! I'm going to have to find a recipe for that!

Roll on Sweet Briar 2010!
