Hello, In the past lacemakers used to work while singing a song. I wonder if anyone amongst you would know if the lacemakers had specific songs for needlelace and/or bobbin lace. Was there a difference in the songs rhythmically? I know the Belgian and English bobbin lace makers had their own specific songs. What about the other European countries? Somenone told me about needlesongs of the North of France. Do you think these needlesongs refer to Alençon lace?
