Why not give it a try? I do not know of a how-to book, but there is a nice dvd with beginning lessons put out by Hensel productions, follow the link to the Chantilly Lace dvd here: http://www.henselproductions.com/
If interested, write to them, they will tell you if there is a supplier in the UK that carries it, or sell you one directly. I enjoyed working the several lessons and Lia is an excellent teacher.
