This is exciting! I did try a bit of a google, myself, with one of the French words for lace pillow, the only one I could think of was 'coussin' (cushion) and I did get a few interesting sites, but not what I was looking for...should have remembered "un carreau" !
I for one am glad to see this site is still up. It is a neat unit. Probably would stay in storage more than I would use it, the chance to use pretty fabrics appeals. From time to time, one has to make another lace pillow for oneself, a satisfying harmless indulgence <g>.
