For support sticks for brise fans you might like to investigate the thicker
transparent acetate sheets that are supplied for covers when comb bindering. I
have not tried them but they feel possible. Let us know if they work.
Hmm, wonder if you could use laminated film cut to shape - I was
thinking about the lower ends of the sticks earlier - the bits that show
below the fan leaf - doing this you could work something that could be
trapped inside the sticks to add interest?
