I've just stumbled across a interesting item on eBay. It is for a pair of bobbins which have a label that says they are from a set of 144 made for the Crystal Palace Exhibition.
Interestingly enough, I have one of those bobbins in my own (very, very small) collection of antique bobbins. So, I'm curious about whether these were, in fact, made specifically for this Exhibition. Does anyone know any more about them?
