Below is the link to the exhibition of textile item left with babies at the
Foundling Hospital in London during the late 1700's. I found one item of
rather unusual lace (Foundling 11691), some cross stitch and blackwork.
If you click on the 'slideshow playing' it will pause the rather fast moving
pictures.
A word of warning though - you may need a tissue!
