That was 8 years ago, perhaps the machines are better calibrated now but I
doubt it, this machine was designed and callibrated by the drug manufacturer.
I am not happy that I have arthritis and a greater risk of breast cancer.

Keep lacemaking

Alex

I was diagnosed as a coeliac (gluten etc allergy) 10 years ago and for the
first time had a DXA (bone density) scan last Xmas.  Coeliacs have extreme
difficulty in assimulating calcium and are very likely to develope osteo and
have issues with their teeth.

I have eaten very little calcium based foods for years due to different
doctors being worried about my ezcema but over the past 6 months I have been
perscribed crispbreads and flour with added calcium.

The doctor and I were over joyed to discover that my bone density is not just
in the normal range but better than it should be.  As being 5'8" I'm over
average so this info that Alex has shared is interesting to me as it would put
me back into average.  But still good.

I have a bit of an issue with spacial awareness and tend to walk into things
... you know, walls, doors and fall over things such as my feet.  I often
sprain things but have never, touch wood, broken anything.  Obviously this
news means that because my calcium is good and my bone density is good that I
bounce.

So here's to all us bouncy lace makers.

Kind Regards
